Retail company Hbc has signed a five-year agreement with Speed Skating Canada to provide merchandise and funding for the organization and its athletes. The agreement includes an annual 20-piece clothing package for athletes, coaches, staff and officials, as well as funding for training. “The goal for Speed Skating Canada is to seek partnerships with organizations who share similar values and beliefs, something we believe we have found in Hbc,” said Jean Dupre, director general of the organization. “Thanks to Hbc's expertise in style and fashion, our athletes will continue to make strong statements even when they're off the ice.” Speed Skating Canada is the national governing body for short and long track speed skating in this country.
