ROM TO START LOOKING FOR AGENCY IN JUNE

The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto will begin an ad agency search by the end of June and a choice will be made by September, exhibits and marketing vice-president Florence Silver told Adnews this week. After the ROM has established criteria and budget, it will begin running ads asking agencies to bid on the job. The museum has been with Roche Macaulay & Partners of Toronto for five years, but the two announced they were parting ways earlier this week. The ROM spent just over $444,000 on media advertising last year, according to ACNielsen estimates. The account gave Roche Macaulay its start and helped the agency win other clients, such as Ikea.
