Wal-Mart releases new Quebec ad

Retail chain Wal-Mart has released a new television commercial in Quebec. The 30-second computer animated ad, created by Allard Johnson of Montreal, depicts the chain’s spokescharacter, “Smiley,” in a bathtub. The character is sucked down the drain and deposited in an aquarium with a threatening fish. Throughout the ad, anthropomorphized price sign laugh at the character, causing their displayed prices to drop.
