Uber Eats readies Super Bowl ad
By Adnews Staff
Food delivery service Uber Eats will release a new television ad during the broadcast of the NFL Super Bowl game this weekend. The ad promotes the services expansion into new delivery categories. Canadian consumers can now order from retailers including Indigo, Wine Rack, Metro, Wal-Mart, Shell and others. The creative features Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah and Nicholas Braun. The execution uses humor to illustrate that many items now available for delivery, such as lightbulbs, toilet paper and candles, should not be eaten.
"Uber Eats has grown quickly from a platform to get your favourite meals delivered to a one-stop-shop for anything you need, from pharmacy essentials to groceries to alcohol and more," said Lola Kassim, head of Uber Eats Canada. "We're going to continue looking for opportunities to expand and deliver to people what they want and need. For this year's Super Bowl ads, we thought we’d have a little fun, because while you can get everything you need on Uber Eats, you shouldn't always 'Eats' it."
