The UPS Store, based in Oakville, ON, has released a 30-second radio commercial called “Paper Anniversary” to promote its first year of operation. The ad, created by MacKinnon Calderwood Advertising of Toronto, will run nationally in English and French for five weeks. It describes the document services offered by the company, particularly those aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, as well as a special copy promotion. The ad will be supported by an on-air gift certificate give-away in 51 markets. National media buying was also handled by MacKinnon Calderwood Advertising. Mediavation of Montreal produced the French-language creative. “The UPS Store wanted to express its customer appreciation while at the same time, through radio advertising and a special promotion, continue to bring The UPS Store to the attention of the small business owner,” said Michelle Cameron, national marketing manager for the company. The UPS Store came into existence one year ago with the rebranding of most of the Mail Boxes Etc. chain. The company has 285 locations in Canada.
