Toronto-based credit information company TransUnion has released its first Canadian television commercial. The ad, which broke nationally on Sept. 25, encourages viewers to check their credit score with the company. Called “Blind,” the commercial depicts a blindfolded runner stumbling over a series of hurdles, then removing the blindfold to get a clear view of his situation. “We realize that consumers are driven by the desire to move forward, reach higher and improve the quality of their lives,” said Tom Reid, director of consumer solutions at TransUnion. “We believe this advertisement captures the essence of that desire and the role TransUnion can help play in giving consumers the power to achieve their personal financial management goals.” The ad was adapted for Canada by Targetcom of Chicago from a previous campaign.
