Ford installs largest mural in Canada in Calgary

Ford of Canada has installed what it describes as the largest current outdoor mural in Canada in Calgary. The ad, which promotes the F-Series pick-up truck, is 61 metres wide and 23 metres high. It is located at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 1st Street South West. The ad was installed on July 31 and will remain in place until December. The creative depicts a pick-up truck driving across a field surrounded by running bulls. “We wanted to create something with high-impact for the heart of truck country, but it was also imperative that it complement the downtown Calgary landscape,” said Dean Stoneley, director of marketing communications at Ford of Canada. “The image captures the soul of Calgary as well as that of the province.” Advertising for Ford is handled by Young & Rubicam.
