New Georgian Mall campaign breaks in Barrie

Cadillac Fairview has begun an advertising campaign to promote the re-opening of the Georgian Mall, located in Barrie, ON. The campaign includes television, radio and newspaper advertising aimed primarily at women. Three print ads have been created. One depicts women sleeping in the parking lot while waiting for the mall to open. Another shows a groom figurine alone on top of a wedding cake. The ads will run in the Barrie Examiner, the Barrie Advance and the Toronto Star. Ten-second closed captioning television ads will run for four weeks on A-Channel, while 30-second radio commercials will run for six weeks on Rock 95, The New Chay, B101 FM and Kool FM. The campaign, which beginning on Aug. 14, was created by MacLaren McCann of Calgary. Media buying was handled by Media Jewels.
