BODY CARE COMPANY SEEKING AGENCY

KINeSYS Pharmaceutical of Vancouver is planning to put its personal care products in pharmacy chains across Canada. As it increases distribution the company intends to beef up its advertising, and for this it needs an ad agency, executive vice-president Josie Kletter told Adnews last week. Currently, the company sells its products in specialty sports shops across Canada and in outlets of the London Drugs pharmacy chain in B.C. and Alberta. At the moment advertising is handled in-house. However, the company wants to have an agency working for it when it starts to roll out to drug store chains across Canada, either by the fall or else early next spring. The products being sold by London Drugs are Vigor Shampoo with Eucalyptus & Tea Tree Oil, Sport Shampoo with Condition, Sport Body Wash and Daily Moisturizer with UV Protection. The products were introduced in London Drugs on May 3. They are being promoted using radio, local magazines, in-store materials and sampling.
