Smak opens Toronto office

Vancouver-based communications agency Smak has opened an office in Toronto to support its clients in eastern Canada. The office will be headed by Quentin Evans, formerly part of the consumer marketing practice at Cohn & Wolfe and marketing manager at Prime Restaurants. Evans worked for Smak on a project basis on several campaigns in eastern Canada before joining the agency formally. “Smak has formed great relationships with agencies, media buying houses and clients direct in the west,” said agency partner Alan Bedingfield. “Toronto was the next logical step in building the trend of non-traditional communications, as there has been clear growing interest in the medium.” Smak specializes in guerrilla marketing, place-based media, publicity stunts and public relations.
