Website roundup

Pepsi-Cola Canada has constructed a new website for its SoBe Beverages division at <http://www.sobelivin.ca>. The site, called “Livin’ the Rhythm,” provides information on the SoBe line of energy drinks, along with a collection of games and contests. The site also allows users to chart their biorhythms. Other content includes listings of events at which SoBe promotional workers will be present. “We wanted a site that would resonate with the SoBe demographic,” said Jim Johnstone, director of non-carbonated beverages at Pepsi. “From high-level interactivity to energetic graphics, this site absolutely brings the brand to life.” The site was developed by Proximity Canada of Toronto.

The Toronto-based TSX Group has redesigned its website at <http://www.tsx.com>. TSX Group operates the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange. The six-month project was intended to improve the navigation and usability of the site, refresh its look and feel, and lay a foundation for the later addition of new revenue-generating components. The new site is also fully bilingual. The site is organized into separate areas containing listings, trading and data. The content is primarily aimed at retail investors. New advertising inventory is also part of the design. “We want tsx.com to be the leading domain, the resource people think of, for information on Canadian capital markets,” said Virginia Pastway, manager of new media content and design strategy at TSX Datalinx. The site was constructed by Non-Linear Creations.
