VITAMIN MAKER, PRINTER HELP RE-FOREST CANADA

Quest Vitamins of Vancouver launched a promotion April 1 to help make the treeline thicker in Canada. Under the deal, for every bottle of Multivitamins purchased between April 1 and June 30, Quest will make a donation toward the planting of a tree by the Tree Canada Foundation. Quest's goal is to get 20,000 trees planted. The promotion is supported by a national print and point-of-sale campaign created by Current Design of Vancouver. Quest Multivitamins are sold at health food stores, nutrition centres and holistic pharmacies. The company is a division of Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) of Burlington, Ont. A company from an industry that uses up a lot of trees is also backing a planting plan. Joseph Printing, of Concord, Ont., will launch a print ad campaign in mid-April for its Partners in Growth re-forestation program. A St. Joseph division, Zeppelin Advertising of Toronto, is creating the advertising. St. Joseph plants three trees for every ton of paper it uses. The program is run in conjunction with Scouts Canada.
