GREYHOUND FLIES NEXT MONTH

Greyhound Lines Of Canada has set May 22 as the take-off date for its low-fare airline, which it started heralding with TV advertising late in March and in print last weekend. Starting May 1, Greyhound bus and airplane passengers will earn points redeemable for free flights, bus trips and courier shipments. The ad campaign was created by Palmer Jarvis Advertising of Vancouver. Greyhound Air will connect with the company's bus service and have flights operating as often as twice daily. Its routes will link Vancouver, Kelowna, B.C., Calgary and Edmonton, in the West, to Ottawa, Toronto and Hamilton, Ont. in the East. The operation's headquarters will be in Winnipeg. Kelowna Flightcraft Air Charter will operate the aircraft. Greyhound says fares will range from $129 for a round trip between Edmonton and Winnipeg to $319 between Vancouver and Ottawa.
