GILLETTE GIVING AWAY $25,000

Gillette Canada Inc. of Kirkland, Quebec is sending 23 people to Universal Studios Florida to look for $25,000. The company is launching a month-long promotion in February that includes a draw for a 4-day trip to Florida in the fall. Winners will be sent to Universal Studios to take part in a hunt for Gillette and Oral-B products on the studio grounds. They will have to solve clues to find the products and pick up the $25,000 grand prize. TV advertising for the promotion and four Gillette products will begin Jan. 22. It was created by BBDO Canada of Toronto. PNMD/Publitel of Montreal handled the French advertising. Point-of-purchase materials were created in-house. The products being promoted in the ads are SensorExcel, the Gillette Series (which consists of a razor, shaving cream and cologne) and Right Guard and Soft & Dri anti-perspirants. Spectrum Public Relations of Toronto is doing PR.
