SUPERIOR WINS CITY ACCOUNT

Superior Interactive Communications of Hamilton, Ont. is launching a campaign by the end of February for Hamilton-Wentworth's Economic Development Department. Details will be released when the region's council approves the campaign next week. Council will also approve a new budget next week. In the past it has run from $750,000 to $1 million. Superior won the business last November in a competition with three other Hamilton ad shops. The agency will be handling advertising for areas such as tourism, convention promotion and business development. The account was previously with Olynyk, King & Duda of Hamilton. Superior's client list also includes IBM Canada, Wire Rope Industries and Westroc Industries. In addition to doing traditional advertising, the agency creates Internet home pages and brochures on diskettes it calls Floppy Fliers. It also creates multimedia sales aids, kiosks, point-of-purchase displays and electronic catalogues.
