OWENS-CORNING TICKLED PINK BY PROMO RESPONSE
By Adnews Staff
Over 12,000 people entered Owens-Corning Canada's Pink Sweeps contest launched last fall. Twenty winners are now each selecting $1,000 worth of anything they want at building supply stores. "It's great to see such an overwhelming response for a first time event," marketing communications manager Jay Gregg says in a release. The contest was part of the Canadian launch campaign for the company's new packaging for its FIBERGLAS PINK Batt Insulation. The campaign included advertising which focused on the new packaging. TV, radio, print and point-of-sale ads had the tagline" Do it Right. Do it PINK. Do it Now." Scott Thornley & Company of Toronto created the advertising. The new packaging features Owens-Corning's spokescat, the Pink Panther, and easy-to-follow instructions.
