PELMOREX GETS BIGGER

Pelmorex Inc. of Mississauga, Ont. is buying Satellite Radio Network from Rogers Communications of Toronto. The move makes it the biggest radio programming network and syndication service in Canada. Pelmorex owns the specialty TV channel The Weather Network and 16 radio stations in Northern Ontario. It also owns 35% of La Chaines Météo, a weather channel in France that was launched last June. The company's Pelmorex Radio Inc. subsidiary is already providing news and weather reports and a variety of syndicated features to about 130 SRN affiliates, as well as to 40 Pelmorex affiliates.
