CTV SPORTSNET HAS GAMEDAY EVERYDAY

Toronto-based CTV Sportsnet has entered its second season with a new tagline. The 24-hour regional sports network first launched last October with the tagline "It's a whole new game." Frank Abels, director of marketing, CTV Sportsnet said that the introductory tagline at the time was very fitting and naturally made sense. The new tagline was created for two reasons he said. One because the shelf life of the original tagline was over and the launch of the new season is going to be CTV Sportsnet busiest yet. The sports network is hitting the airwaves this season with 750 events planned. To promote the new tagline as well as its flagship news and information program Sportscentral, on-air promo's, print and radio advertising is being used. The campaign is targeting five markets including: Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Advertising for CTV Sportsnet is done in-house.
