JOBSHARK.COM LAUNCHING NATIONAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based online recruitment company JobShark.com has launched a new national advertising campaign in conjunction with the company expanding into the Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and Ottawa markets. The online company plans to invest more than $1 million in brand building advertising throughout the Fall and Winter. A radio campaign has already begun and the campaign will expand to include promotion on billboards, transit advertising and in targeted publications. The campaign, from Vickers & Benson Advertising of Toronto, is JobShark.com's first push nationally. Rob Porter, marketing and strategic development coordinator said the prime objective of the campaign is to build awareness as well as target the company's key demographic market, 18-45 year old, university and college educated people. He added the campaign will run until the end of January, at which time the company will evaluate its progress. JobShark.com was launched in Toronto in 1997 building a database of 150,000 resumes and profiles to-date.
