TVB ANNOUNCE RETAIL COMP WINNERS

The Television Bureau of Canada recently announced the winners of its Retail Comp awards. Young & Rubicam of Toronto. walked away the big winner with a gold and silver award for work the agency created for RadioShack. The agency's Montreal office, St-Jacques Vallee/Young & Rubicam, won a gold award for work it handled for Provigo Inc. of Montreal. Marketel of Montreal was also a silver award winner for work it handled for IGA. CHEK-TV was presented with the bronze award for work it did for the Royal British Columbia Museum. This campaign also made CHEK-TV the recipient of the first annual TVBest award for the top scoring commercial entered by a TVB member broadcaster for 1998. The Retail Comp awards celebrate the best in Canadian retail-oriented TV advertising created especially for use at the local market level. The awards are judged by consumers from all market sizes across Canada.
