PALMER-JARVIS TO SELL WESTERN AND NORTHERN CANADA
By Adnews Staff
Vancouver-based Palmer-Jarvis Advertising won the Tourism Alliance for Western and Northern Canada account this week in a final shoot out with Parallel Strategies of Calgary. Others that made it to the short list were Jake Marks Advertising of Winnipeg and Cooper, Quine and Fraser of Saskatoon and Highwood Communications of Calgary. McKim Communications of Winnipeg pitched jointly with Wasserman & Partners of Vancouver. Two Edmonton agencies went after the business together under the banner Best of the West Tourism Marketing Consortium: Derek Coke-Kerr & Associates and Rose Country Communications. FWJ Communications of Calgary dropped out of the competition. The alliance consists of 18 industry and government partners from the four western provinces and two territories. It was formed last March to increase tourism in Western and Northern Canada.
