New president, chief innovation officer at Tribal Worldwide

Tribal Worldwide Canada has appointed Andrew McCartney to the position of president. He was previously a senior vice-president and managing director of the agency's Toronto office. Prior to joining the agency in 2008, McCartney was a vice-president at Blast Radius and director of digital marketing at Ammirati Puris. He has also worked at Cyberplex and Monitor Group.

"I am most passionate about creating a culture of innovation across all of our practice areas and I'm looking forward to strengthening our stand-out senior leadership team in each of our four offices," said McCartney. "This new agency structure enables an increased investment in deep specialty expertise and scale across Canada for the benefit of all of our clients."

Marty Yaskowich has been promoted to the position of chief innovation and growth officer. He was most recently managing director of Tribal Vancouver. Yaskowich joined Tribal in 2005 as an account supervisor. Since then, he has also been an account director and director of business and strategy. He has also worked at Grey Worldwide Northwest, McGill Digital Solutions and Parallel Strategies.

According to Tribal, both appointments are part of the agency's new national expansion plan.
