MENSWEAR COMPANY FOCUSES ON FREEDOM

Wilke-Rodriguez of New York will offer a new message in its advertising to launch the menswear designer's second decade. The North American print campaign, which will launch this month, will tell men that Wilke-Rodriguez clothing gives them the freedom to choose a look that fits their individual lifestyle and personality. The headline reads: "Freedom. Either you have it or you don't." The ads will be seen in GQ, Ocean Drive, L'Uomo, Vogue, Out, Wallpaper and Buzz magazines. Outdoor ads will be used in New York and Los Angeles. Non-traditional media will be used as well. The campaign was created by The Brainstorm Group of Toronto. Until now, Wilke-Rodriguez focused on building brand awareness. The agency won the global Wilke-Rodriguez business last October.
