DIGITAL USES CONTEST TO PROMOTE SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
Digital Renaissance of Toronto is promoting its newest software with an international contest offering cash prizes totally $50,000(US). The contest is for new media developers who will create their best applications using Digital's media linking T.A.G Editor software with Microsoft Corp.'s NetShow streaming multimedia software. The contest closes on Nov. 21 and winners will be announced on Dec. 10 at DCI's Fall Internet World trade show in New York. T.A.G Editor is a development system that enables producers to create interactive links and scripts to time-based media sources such as audio, video and animation. It was introduced to the North American market earlier this month. In Canada, print advertising for the software will begin at a future date. The contest will be promoted using brochures, postcards and trade shows. It will also be incorporated into the print ads. Advertising for Digital Renaissance is done by Young & Rubicam of Toronto. Hill & Knowlton of Toronto is doing PR. Other sponsors of the contest are ITV.Net and Telus Corp.
