TWO AGENCIES COMPETING FOR KODAK GLOBAL ACCOUNT

U.S.-based Eastman Kodak has narrowed its search for a worldwide corporate ad agency to two New York-based shops, and in the process brought about a split between Polaroid Corp. and its agency. The two now duking it out for the Kodak business are BBDO Worldwide, a unit of the U.S. company Omnicom Group, and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide which already does advertising for Kodak's digital and applied imaging business. O&M belongs to the British-based WPP Group. BBDO joined the review last week after being invited to do so by consultant John Sculley.
