NEW COMPANY, NEW NAME FOR ITALIAN DRINKS

Montreal-based Enzamar Inc. will be re-launching a line of Italian non-alcoholic beverages under the seibella label. They are scheduled to reach stores in Ontario and Quebec this month, and to roll out to the west coast and the United States. The re-named drinks come in six different flavors: Mediterranean Orange, Limonata, Gassosa, Rosso Amaro, Cafe Amaretto and Espresso. Seibella, which is mixed and bottled in Montreal, will be featured at the Ferragosto Festival in Mississauga, Ont., Aug 5-7. The beverage was originally called Tosca, and was introduced in Canada in 1993 by the company that was Ensamar's predecessor, Blu Cascade. Enzamar is also the distributor of Brio in Quebec. The company says that many North Americans did not associate the word Tosca with Italy, and did not remember it well, but "bella" is recognied as Italian and well remembered. "Seibella" means "You're beautiful" in Italian.
