MEDIACOM BUYS 3M

Toronto-based Mediacom Inc. has bought 3M Media of Toronto. The move adds 656 transit shelter spaces in the Toronto area to Mediacom's portfolio. By purchasing 3M, Mediacom also acquired 940 mall poster displays across Canada, which it sold, in turn, to Merchant Media of Toronto. Merchant sells advertising across Canada in shopping malls and at ski resorts. Mediacom is owned by Outdoor Systems. Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona.
