Amazon readies new Canadian ad services

Online retailer Amazon is preparing to introduce several new advertising services in Canada. These include new online video options such as sponsored display videos that can be use to present tutorials, demonstrations and testimonials, a service that helps advertisers find, compare and book professional video creators, and a service intended to make it easier for advertisers to create their own campaigns using customzable templates. In addition, Amazon will debut a service intended to help advertisers better measure campaign performance. These new services, among others, will become available in 10 countries, including Canada in November.

“Amazon Ads has been in Canada for a number of years, working with brands big and small to help them reach their relevant audiences in an impactful way,” said Tamir Bar-Haim, managing director and head of global advertising expansion at Amazon. “Our entire approach to advertising in Canada is based on creating meaningful customer experiences and the latest features coming to Canada further our mission to be the most effective marketing partner for Canadian advertisers.”
