Think Turkey begins campaign

Turkey Farmers of Canada, in collaboration with the Canadian Poultry and Egg Processors Council, has begun a new campaign as part of its five year “Think Turkey” initiative. The national campaign, called “Veggies Love Turkey,” depicts turkey as a protein source that pairs well with vegetables. The eight-week campaign consists of television commercials in which three animated vegetable characters describe their love of turkey. The ads will also air during the 11th season of Les Chefs, of which Think Turkey is a lead sponsor, as well as online. The promotion also includes the participations of chef and restauranteur Chuck Hughes, who will contribute vegetable and turkey recipes through social media videos and content marketing.

“With increased interest in healthy cooking, Canadians spending more on fresh produce, and vegetables occupying more share of plate, we see a strategic opportunity to lean into the many reasons to choose turkey,” said Darren Ference, chair of Turkey Farmers of Canada. “It's lean, delicious and versatile.”
