Shiseido readies Beauty Box Builder promotion

Skin care company Shiseido will begin a Canadian promotion on social media site Pinterest on Oct. 7. The initiative will remind consumers of the importance of skin care during cold weather. The company describes the promotion, called the “Beauty Box Builder,” as the first of its kind in this country. Consumers will be able to use the site to create a step-by-step skin care routine using Shiseido products by taking an online quiz. Consumers will then receive a personalized Pinterest Board displaying a customized collection of skincare products.

“Shiseido has been pushing the frontiers of beauty by continuously innovating our products through cutting edge technology and craftsmanship, and our partnership with Pinterest reflects our innovative spirit perfectly,” said Louanne McGrory, president of Shiseido Canada. “In the minute or two it takes to complete the Pinterest quiz and deliver a customized Beauty Box to each user, we have a special opportunity to share our Shiseido story while guiding users to the best choices for their skin.”
