Ontario Minor Hockey Association renews two sponsorships

Sports equipment maker CCM has renewed its sponsorship of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association Goalie Assist Program. Through this program, CCM will loan sets of goalie equipment to minor hockey players between the ages of five and seven. The program, now in its eighth year, is being promoted through the websites of OMHA member associations and with media relations.

In related news, the OMHA has renewed a promotional agreement with HelloFresh via which will provide discounts on the company’s delivered meal kits to hockey families. In addition, each week through the hockey season, the company will post a new receipe and interactive video intended to promote nutrition for players.

“Both the OMHA and CCM grasp that hockey is a late-specialization sport and the Goalie Assist Program is a great way to introduce the position to players who may not have otherwise had the opportunity,” said OMHA executive director Ian Taylor. “We are thrilled to partner with HelloFresh for another season to help hockey families make healthy decisions at the dinner table. It is important that players eat healthy so they can perform their best on the ice and HelloFresh gives parents the confidence to make the right food choices that are fast and nutritious.”
