Aliments du Quebec debuts new branding

Aliments du Québec, an association that promotes Quebec-based food producers, has undertaken a rebranding initiative. Developed by Lg2 of Montreal, the new branding is intended to reflect the “dynamic energy and evolution” of the organization’s members. It includes a new visual identity and a logo designed to be more visible on product packaging.

“On cluttered packaging, it’s critical for a logo to be visually effective,” said David Kessous, vice-president of design at Lg2. “Simplicity becomes key. In contrast to the former oval logo, the new logo’s structure and round shape, stripped of tiny details and colour gradients, help ensure it is instantly recognizable. Features aside, it’s also the logo’s narrative nature that maximizes its visual impact. The letter Q, symbolizing here the Province of Quebec, clearly identifies the different certifications and also unfurls in order to tell a story.”
