Ikea releases Safer Home app

Ikea Canada has released a new mobile application called Safer Home intended to raise awareness of home safety for families with children. The app provides information to parents about household hazards that can cause childhood injuries. Users can browse sections dedicated to different areas of a home for safety advice, to-do lists and progress trackers. The free application is available for Android and Apple devices.
“At Ikea, we want to take a leading role in empowering families to live a safer life at home,” said Michael Ward, CEO and chief sustainability officer at Ikea Canada. “The Safer Home app offers simple, straightforward steps that everyone can take to ensure their home is a safe environment for children.”
