RBC adds bill payment to loyalty program

RBC of Toronto has introduced a new service for members of its RBC Rewards loyalty program that will allow consumers to pay bills using loyalty points. The program, called “Pay Bills with Points,” can be accessed via the bank’s website or mobile application. Users can choose a bill to pay and the amount of the payment to be converted into points. RBC launched a similar service last year that allows consumers to use loyalty points to pay for purchases at the point of sale.
