Ontario Nurses' Association begins holiday campaign

The Toronto-based Ontario Nurses' Association has begun a new advertising campaign intended to raise awareness of the work registered nurses will do during the holiday season. The campaign consists of a one-minute commercial called "The Gift" that will run in cinemas and on Facebook, as well as at <http://nursesknow.ona.org>. The video depicts two situations that illustrate the impact that nursing has on Ontario residents.

"As we enter the holiday season, we want Ontarians to be aware of the skills and compassion registered nurses share with their patients," said ONA president Vicki McKenna. "The work of RNs impacts the lives of all Ontarians, from infancy through to old age. Day and night, seven days a week, there are highly educated registered nurses working to provide high-quality patient care, even while others are celebrating the season with friends and family."
