L'Oreal Canada begins Women in Digital program

Montreal-based cosmetics company L'Oréal Canada has begun a new initiative called "Women in Digital" intended to encourage female entrepreneurs with technology businesses. The program is being conducted in collaboration with URelles and Campus InfoPresse. Potential participants can apply online at <http://www.womenindigital.ca> until Feb. 28, 2019. Fifteen finalists will attend an event in Montreal, participate in a training program, receive mentoring from a member of the selection panel, and receive $20,000 in financial support.

"Knowing that women are underrepresented in this field, it seemed natural to do our part, as we have been for the last 16 years with our L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards," said Frank Kollmar, president and CEO of L'Oréal Canada. "We are proud to once again be part of the solution by offering funding and support to women entrepreneurs. By ensuring there is a large number of role models, we can stimulate careers and leadership in business for women."
