L'Oreal Paris begins Women of Worth promotion
Cosmetics brand L'Oréal Paris has begun a promotional initiative called the "2018 Women of Worth Awards." The company has issued a call for nominations for the awards, which will recognize "women who ignite change in their communities through exceptional volunteer work." Nominations can be submitted online at <http://www.womenofworth.ca> until Oct. 15. Ten winners will receive a total of $110,000 in financial support for their non-profit organizations. This is the second year the company has conducted this initiative. L'Oréal Paris is a division of L'Oréal Canada.
"Our inaugural 'Canadian Women of Worth' are incredible women championing a range of important causes from helping homeless women build sustainable careers, to providing free childcare to mothers with cancer, to helping refugees build their new lives in Canada to fighting against child exploitation," said Milan Mladjenovic, general manager of L'Oréal Paris in Canada. "It's an honour to be able to publicly celebrate these awe-inspiring women by shining a spotlight on their causes and providing financial support to help them reach and benefit even more Canadians."
