Sport Chek, Woods conduct Parka Lodge promotion

Retail chain Sport Chek and outdoor apparel company Woods have begun a joint promotion called the "Woods Parka Lodge." The promotion features a yurt in the Haliburton region of Ontario which consists of a wooden structure covered in Woods parkas for insulation. The initiative promotes the company's new Woods Winter Collection product line. For a limited time, consumers can book a stay in the yurt through Airbnb. Visitors to the location will also have the use of a Woods parka or bomber jacket during their stay.
"Rugged, stylish and inspiring, the Woods Parka Lodge is a classic Canadian outdoor winter experience, and the perfect setting to showcase our new collection," said David Lui, vice-president of marketing at FGL Sports, parent company of Sport Chek. "The lodge is a special tribute to Woods' long and storied history in Canada of over 130 years, and we want our rich legacy as a pioneer and outfitter to continue inspiring Canadians to explore more of their own backyard."
