Infiniti readies All Eyes on You promotion

Mississauga-based automobile brand Infiniti Canada will conduct a promotion for its QX50 sport utility vehicle at the Nuit Blanche art festival in Toronto on Sept. 29. Called "All Eyes on You," the promotion will make use of an installation at Nathan Phillips Square that will incorporate a QX50 wrapped in approximately 50,000 LED lights and surrounded by six depth-capturing cameras. According to the company, the lights will display animated patterns intended to resemble particles in space. As consumers interact with the vehicle, the lights will move to form the shape of the person. They will also change colour from blue to green to red to represent the speed with which the person is moving. After the festival, the installation will travel to several other Canadian cities, beginning with Vancouver.

"Art comes in many shapes and forms, and vehicles are no exception," said Adam Paterson, managing director of Infiniti Canada. "While we didn't use paintbrushes or clay, the 'All Eyes on You' display is our interpretation of what the QX50 represents: beauty, but also power and efficiency at the full command of the driver. As a brand known for its daring design, we are thrilled to be part of Nuit Blanche Toronto, an important celebration of contemporary art."
