American Apparel retains Pomp & Circumstance

Pomp & Circumstance PR of Toronto has been hired at agency of record for clothing brand American Apparel in Canada. The agency will work to support a relaunch of the brand in Canada which will take place over the next several months. The assignment also includes digital work and media buying, as well as media relations and influencer relations. American Apparel is a division of Gildan Activewear.

"We're excited to introduce everyone to the new American Apparel, more focused on body positivity, inclusivity and diversity than ever before," said Sabina Weber, director of brand marketing for American Apparel. "We recognized the importance of this relaunch. We had to do it right, so we took our search for a Canadian partner very seriously. It was a competitive process, but in the end there was no doubt that P&C showcased the kind of passion and creativity that we were looking for in an agency. It was clear they understood our new brand DNA, and their ideas about how to bring this to life just nailed it."
