Tim Hortons resumes NHL trading card promotion

Tim Hortons has resumed its annual "Tim Hortons NHL Trading Cards" promotion. For a limited time, the chain will sell packages of the trading cards at its locations nationally. The promotion this year includes a variety of rare cards to collect, including 87 Sidney Crosby signature cards, 150 autographed Jersey Relics cards and 100 autographed Brad Marchand Timbits Hockey cards. The chain will conduct a series of Hockey Card Trading Night events at participating locations on Oct. 18 and 25 which will encourage consumers to trade their cards. Each card also displays an identifying number for use with an online card trading service at <http://www.collecttowin.ca>. Visitors to the site can participate in a number of contests, the prizes for which include a meeting with Sidney Crosby, tickets to the 2019 NHL All-Star game, an autographed jersey and various Tim Hortons products. The promotion also makes use of special hockey-themed packaging and social media activities.

"We've always had a special connection to hockey, from our founder Tim Horton to our national sponsorships and community level programs across Canada," said Jorge Zaidan, head of marketing at Tim Hortons Canada. "From coast-to-coast, we see how excited our guests get for the hockey season and we look forward to celebrating Canada's game with them each year."
