Splenda readies Masterchef promotion

CTV will conduct an experiential promotion in Toronto this weekend in collaboration with Heartland Food Products Group and its Splenda Stevia Sweetener brand. The promotion will be tied to the broadcaster's competition program Masterchef Canada. The event will take place at Copetin Restaurant and Bar in Toronto on June 2. The restaurant, which is owned by one of the judges of Masterchef Canada, will offer a range of dishes made with the sweetener. These dishes will also appear in episodes of a new online show called The Next Bite, which will be hosted on CTV.ca.
"Partnering with MasterChef Canada and Claudio Aprile has been tremendously exciting," said Kimberly Holdsworth, marketing vice-president at Heartland. "With the dishes he's developed for our tasting at Copetin, Chef Aprile has definitely showed that reducing sugar is as easy as using our great tasting Splenda Stevia Sweetener."
