BDO signs sponsorship deal with Hockey Canada

Calgary-based accounting company BDO has signed a promotional agreement with Hockey Canada through which it will establish a program called "BDO Goals for Kids." Under this program, $50 will be donated to a local minor hockey association for each goal scored at a national championship event. In addition, $100 will be donated for each goal scored by Team Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, World Junior A Challenge and World Sledge Hockey Challenge. The funds will be used to offset equipment and registration costs for young players.

"Hockey is such an important part of Canadian culture, integral to communities from coast to coast. The inclusion of the 'BDO Goals for Kids' program allows us to give back to these communities and help ensure more kids get the chance to play and develop their skills."
