RSVP AWARD WINNERS

The Canadian Direct Marketing Association presented its 26th annual RSVP Awards last week in Toronto. Loyalty Management Group Canada founder and president Craig Underwood won the Direct Marketer of the Year award. SMR Group president Rich Richardson was given the Director's Choice award. The Best of the Best award for the top direct marketing campaign of the year using a variety of media went to The Co-operators Group for its DirectProtect Insurance "Tiny Man" campaign. It was created by Wunderman Cato Johnson of Toronto. The Vic Perry Award for the best direct mail campaign went to IBM's Minneapolis office for its "Crack the Code" campaign created by FCB Direct of Toronto. Gold winners were: Nissan Canada, TBWA Chiat/Day Advertising; Canadian Tourism Commission, Publicis-BCP; Videotron, Sprint Communication Marketing; Royal Canadian Mint, FCB Direct Canada; Ralston Purina Canada, Ogilvy & Mather Direct; Bell Mobility, Bimm Communications Group; Group Paul Masson, Communication Prodis Inc.; Trimark Investment, Fusion Interactive; Dupont Pharma Worldwide, CanadaDirect, Direct Marketing; Canada Trust, Cormark Communications; The Financial Post Datagroup, Engine Room Creative; Sprint Canada, DMS Intelecom; and Canadian Tire and Cantel, Media Express Telemarketing Corp.
