SUMMER FESTIVAL LOOKING FOR SPONSORS

Event Management Group of Mississauga, Ont. is looking for sponsors for its International Centre Summer Festival running in Toronto from June 20 to 22, 1997. A corporate package and event sponsorships are available. The corporate package costs $25,000. This sponsor is mentioned in all advertising for the show, the show is named after them and they get free exhibit space. The event sponsorship packages cost $8,000. These sponsors have events at the show named after them, get free exhibit space and are named in broadcast advertising. The festival showcases outdoor and indoor entertainment with a variety of themed events including jousting matches at a 300-foot medieval castle with jousting matches, axe throwing contests, a horse show and Highland Games. There will be beach volleyball courts, trampoline and Frisbee demonstrations, as well as rock climbing, mountain biking trials, an artificial lake for personal water craft demonstrations, camping areas, in-line skating and skateboarding. Visitors can also play 3-on-3 basketball, catch a virtual reality sumo wrestling match and play interactive 3D games. Advertising for the show will begin in June using radio, newspaper, posters and flyers done by Calexis Advertising of Toronto. Calexis is also handling sponsorships. EMG also produces the Fall and Spring Hobby Show, Cycle Canada Motorcycle Shows and the Toronto Supercross.
