BMO to sponsor Invictus Games

BMO Financial Group has signed-on as a sponsor of the Invictus Games Toronto 2017. The bank will be a "signature sponsor" of the games, as well as a participant in the Invictus Games Flag Relay, which will take place nationally this summer. The Invictus Games will take place from Sept. 23 to 30, featuring competitors from 17 countries. The games are a biennial event during which injured or sick armed services personnel and veterans compete in sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing. The Flag Relay will take place on military bases and detachments in Canada.
"This has been a historic year for BMO as we celebrate our bicentennial year, and we're proud to expand our partnership with the Canadian Defence Community by supporting the 2017 Invictus Games, an event that demonstrates the strength and perseverance of our servicemen and women through the power of sport," said Martin Nel, head of personal and small business banking at BMO Financial Group.
BMO is also the official bank of the Canadian Defence Community and the presenting sponsor of the Canada Army Run.
