Montreal International begins student campaign

Non-profit organization Montreal International has begun an online campaign promoting the city as the best place for students in the world. An annual study by research company Quacquarelli Symonds recently named Montreal as the best student city of 125 international locations under consideration. The promotion takes the form of a 1:43 online video depicting the characteristics of Montreal that make it a good place for students to live, including its universities and its arts and culture attractions, as well as its friendliness, diversity and affordability. The video was produced by YPR Canada.

The video will be posted on the social media pages of McGill University, Concordia University, UQAM, the Université de Montréal, INRS, HEC Montréal, ÉTS, ÉNAP, Polytechnique Montréal, the Université de Sherbrooke, the City of Montreal and Montreal International. It will be accompanied by an information campaign intended to encourage the 32,000 international students in the city to stay and live in Montreal when they have completed their educations. This effort is based on a website at <http://www.ichoosemontreal.com>.

"We would like to thank all our partners for joining forces to promote Montreal as the world's best student city," said Hubert Bolduc, president and CEO of Montreal International. "International students are the perfect choice to support the city's economic growth. We are confident that this video will encourage them to pursue their university studies and build a career in Montreal."
