National Bank readies six kilometre mural in Montreal

The National Bank of Canada is preparing to install a mural called "Bleu de Bleu" along a six-kilometre section of Autoroute 20 in Montreal. The artwork, intended to recognize the 375th anniversary of the city, will represent the shores of the St. Lawrence River. The mural was designed by artist Alain Paiement and will be managed by Sid Lee. It will be officially unveiled in the summer of 2017, stretching from the Dorval Circle to the 1st Ave. overpass. It will remain in place for three to five years.

"Every day, hundreds of thousands of people travel along the stretch of highway between the airport and downtown Montreal," said Louis Vachon, president and CEO of National Bank. "This was an opportunity too good to be missed. Montreal is a dynamic city with a reputation for innovation, and that's exactly what people will see as they drive into town."
