Wind Mobile rebrands as Freedom Mobile

Toronto-based telecommunications company Wind Mobile has rebranded as Freedom Mobile. According to the company, the new name is intended to convey transparency, fairness and friendliness. The new brand will be used in retail stores and advertising, as well as online at <http://www.freedommobile.ca>. New advertising will begin this week, including the title sponsorship of the halftime show at the Grey Cup CFL championship game next weekend.

"As Wind Mobile, we built a strong foundation of more than a million customers," said CEO Alek Krstajic. "As Freedom Mobile, we are reaffirming our commitment to them and to the core principles of our business, value, transparency and fairness."
