Tourisme Montreal begins welcome initiative

Tourisme Montréal has begun a new branding initiative called "Montréal vous accueille," or "Montreal welcomes you." Its intent is to present a standardized welcome for tourists arriving in the city from nine points of entry: Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, the Gare d'autocars de Montréal, the Gare centrale de Montréal, the Cruise Terminal at the Port de Montréal, the Palais des congrès de Montréal, several metro stations operated by the Société de transports de Montréal, the Bureau du taxi de Montréal, the Centre Infotouriste Montréal and the Tourism Bureau.

Between now and May 2017, the organization will roll out a collection of branded visuals intended to "create a warm welcome" for visitors at these locations. The creative, principally signage, makes use of the tagline "Bonjour." The effort will also include additional tourist information agents and new interactive terminals.

"As part of Tourisme Montréal's strategic plan, we set an ambitious goal of equipping Montreal with the best tourist welcome in North America and the most innovative at-destination interactive strategies for assisting tourists throughout their stay," said Yves Lalumière, president and CEO of Tourisme Montréal. "By offering a top-quality welcome, we hope to encourage tourists to keep coming back to Montreal."
